In collaboration with KROUSAR THMEY, Mekong Project III of EMDR Association Cambodia

Mekong Project III of EMDR Cambodia have organized and conducted a 3-full day training on “Improving psychological self-care and understanding child psychological trauma” for social workers, caregivers, center managers, and frontline staff who are working with vulnerable children. The training is being conducted from 26-28 November 2019 at Apsara Angkor Resort & Conference, Siem Reap.


EMDR Clinical Supervision Workshop in Cambodia


EMDR clinical Supervision Workshop in Cambodia was held on 22nd-23rd November, 2019 at Tonle Bassac I Restaurant, Phnom Penh, Cambodia by Mekong Project III of EMDR Cambodia Association. Participants have been trained in EMDR therapy by Mekong Project II and III were invited to participate in this workshop.


Trauma Counselors 1st Training

On 1st-3rd November 2019, the Mekong III Project of EMDR Cambodia Association organized

“Trauma Counselors 1st Training” in Taunggyi, Shan State, There were 23 participants.


In collaboration with Krousar Thmey

The Training Unit team has conducted 3-day training on “Improving Staff Psychological Self-Care and Understanding Child Psychological Trauma” for social workers, caregivers and other relevant staff who are working with traumatized population children. This training was aimed at increasing staff self-care, knowledge on child trauma, using trauma stabilization techniques for self-care and improving work performance with children. The training was conducted at center of Krousar Thmey in Takmao which was held on 30th October to 1st November 2019.


The 1st Mental Health Conference in Cambodia 2019

10th Oct 2019, Mekong Project III of EMDR Cambodia Association with Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse (DMHSA) of Ministry of Health, Cambodia and Department of Psychology Organised the First Mental Health Conference for Cambodia at the University of Health Science which cooperated and supported by The Missouri Institute of Mental Health, USA. There were 200 participants including psychiatrists from provincial hospital and Phnom Penh of Cambodia, psychologists from NGOS and students from different universities participated in this conference. The purposes of this conference were presenting the new results of researches/studies related to mental health and also improving the society of mental health in Cambodia.
