With ongoing projects, we are seeking a qualified candidate to fulfil the Full-Time position of Therapist (Full-Time) to join our team to promote mental health in Cambodia.

Background
As one of the non-profit associations in Mental Health in Cambodia, EMDR Association Cambodia specializes in mental health improvement through training, counselling, and research. With offices in Phnom Penh, Battambang, and Siem Reap, we've been making strides in mental health since 2013, recognized by the Ministry of Interior. Our work spans five key provincial areas in partnership with non-governmental and governmental bodies.
Thanks to funding from BMZ via Johanniter International Assistance for our IMARP project, we're looking for dedicated professionals for two crucial positions. It is a chance to make a real difference in mental health care in Cambodia.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments to identify psychological needs and trauma history.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including EMDR therapy.
- Provide crisis intervention and support as needed.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and support networks.
- Participate in community outreach and mental health education events/campaigns.
- Stay updated on trauma therapy and EMDR research and practices.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree or higher in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related field.
- Experience in treating trauma, preferably in post-conflict or developing country contexts.
- Fluency in Khmer and good at English for case study development and relevant reports.
- Being certified in EMDR or willing to obtain certification could be value-adding.
