About EMDR Cambodia:

EMDR Association Cambodia is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving mental health in Cambodia. We focus on providing psychotherapy, mainly using EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), to help individuals heal from trauma. Our work involves collaborating with local communities, healthcare providers, and government agencies to strengthen mental health services nationwide through enhancing psychological services, training, and workshops and conducting evidence-based studies in the mental health and trauma field.

  • Project Manager (1 Position)

  • Report to: Executive Director
  • Location: Based in Phnom Penh

 

Job Summary:

The Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing project activities and ensuring smooth implementation. This role involves planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. The Project Manager will coordinate the efforts of team members, including provincial managers, technical field coordinators, therapists, and other relevant staff, during the project implementation in the target areas.

 

Qualifications:

  • Preferred Master’s degree in Psychology or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in a technical field.
  • Proven experience working in field operations.
  • Understanding of Cambodia's health systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E).
  • Experience in training, coaching, and mentoring healthcare workers.
  • Good collaboration with government counterparts, including DMHSA, Provincial Departments of Health (PDHs), Operational Districts (ODs), Health Centers (HCs), Referral Hospitals (RHs), and local authorities.

 

Skills and Competencies:

  • An experienced professional adept at providing technical oversight, ensuring project implementation aligns with work plans, budgets, and timelines.
  • Skilled in stakeholder engagement, capacity-building, and promoting best practices, focusing on adapting strategies to the local context.
  • Proficient in reporting and documentation, maintaining thorough records, and contributing to technical reports.
  • Fluent in English and Khmer, with a collaborative attitude and experience in EMDR therapy and psychotherapy.
  • Committed to continuous learning and enhancing technical skills to support project success.
