WHAT WE DO
Why Our Work Matters
“Because of Cambodia’s special history, treating trauma at the grassroots level is even more important than in other countries. Mental health stigma is still high, and the number of trained professionals is limited.”
Over 15,000 Cambodians supported since 2013
“Now I understand that mental health issues are not treated with medication alone; psychological counseling also helps.”
“Anyone can be affected by mental health issues; however, we can provide help and support, and together, we will all get better.”
“In the community, stigma around mental health disorders still exists. I’m glad that the EMDR Association continues to organize events, workshops, and trainings on mental health especially at the community level. These activities play a vital role in raising awareness and promoting mental health.”
